Just a couple of minutes after QsQ had lost in the Lower Bracket of the DreamHack Summer Qualifier, the team announced it's disbanding. Therefor five talented players are back on the market, but one big team disappears.
The news might have caught a lot of people in the scene off guard, but for QsQ it was already made prior to the actual qualifier. Just minutes after QsQ got eliminated from the DreamHack Summer contention by Justice League, Jungler Malle announced the disbandment on Facebook.
According to Malle the decision was already made, everyone in the team agreed that it is either this DreamHack or nothing and so the decision was not filled with rage or emotions after the surprise exit of the squad.
Malle on the QsQ situation
Im sad to announce that QsQ has disbanded. It was not a rage filled emotional decision after the results of our last two series, we had...

GosuGamers.net will be experiencing some downtime starting 06:00 CEST on Thursday, the 16th of May 2013, and in accordance to Blizzard/Valve's tradition we will be back 'when it's done'.
While our crew will gain a well-deserved rest, our developers however will continue working in order to bring you an all-new GosuGamers website up and running.
It has been quite a ride for this current website until now and even though we're still standing and you're reading this announcement on the v1 website, we shall let you know that this current platform was not meant to serve the needs of 2013 and it definitely wasn't built for an audience like we deliver to today.
So with v1 getting shut down we will finally end the beta days of our public testing grounds, play.gosugamers.net as well. play.gg is technically a core part of the new GosuGamers and while all of you were testing we...
It took a bit of time for the reigning DreamHack Winter 2012 Champion Aydin 'iNsania' Sarkohi to present his new team, but now the roster is official. Alongside his former tdM teammate noobG, three additional well-known names from the scene join the captain.
The last couple of months went up and down for Aydin 'iNsania' Sarkohi, who lost his spot in Trademark eSports after the third cycle of HoN Tour, only to try to build up a new squad for the remainder of the tournament. His project "The Fire Rises" with Kebap, ZerGo, Zlap and others had good outings initially, but the consistency and motivation inside the team made a huge splash in the scene impossible. In the end the team went through several roster changes, got demoted to the Gold Division and ended the first HoN Tour season on a happy note with a march through said Gold Division.
Still the squad had no future and so the search for a new team began again for the designated captain and jungler iNsania. Now...
Having tremendous success beating KangHo and moving to the semifinals of GSL Code S, sOs seems to be one of the strong contenders for the title. Woongjin Stars Protoss player Kim "sOs" Yoo Jin was interviewed by ThisIsGame following his win.
As sOs prepares for his monumental match up against Soulkey and watching his would be opponents in RorO, Innovation, Bomber and Symbol, he has a short chat with ThisIsGame, that was translated by ESFI World. The main subject is his quarter-finals match up with KangHo.
"I was very confident in my PvZ while practicing for this match. I knew my opponent would go for a greedy style so I prepared some aggressive builds but KangHo was much less defensive than I thought he would be. Once I lost the first set, all the following builds that I had prepared were rendered useless. It?s a...

In an interview with the entire team after Dignitas' qualification into the summer split of the LCS, the team describes some of their feelings and how they weren't entirely overwhelmed with their success.
The jungler for Team Dignitas seems to regard their victory against Team Summon, the team holding their benched support player, '' less than impressive and thought that it's pretty much just "time to get back to work."
Even though Dignitas had a less than ideal finalization of their weeks in the Spring split in the LCS, Scarra claimed before the promotion matches that "he feels extremely confident in the team's performance", stating that it's the "first time he can say that and mean it in a long time." Dignitas was able to shift their champion pool so they couldn't be explicitly "banned out" and showed their former strength which lead them to their massive win streak in the...

The folks at MachinimaVS with the guest-star Dan Dinh go through the rise of Quantic and the essential objectives to look at when analyzing their improvement to a professional level team.
Having been inadvertently feared by other teams in the LCS as the team that would cause the upsets, Quantic did not disappoint last weekend, going 3-0 in the match against Complexity even after losing 2 of their star players, and to "currently existing" LCS teams at the time.
With intelligent play an in-depth strategies as well as not having much to study from, Quantic brought their A-Game and showed why they are capable to compete among the best.

After his team got knocked out of the LCS, Megazero envisions a future where he can continue playing the game professionally.
Although his team, much to his dismay, was knocked out of the LCS for the summer split, Megazero reflects on how he never thought MRN would make it in and how they miraculously did anyway. With no intentions of originally dedicating his career to professional gaming, after experiencing it first hand, Megazero had a change of heart and opinion, claiming that if an offer is good enough, he might consider it.
Although MRN didn't manage to make it into the summer split, Megazero is renowned for his 1v1 capabilities and also netted himself the recent title of "Best Riven NA.". MegaZero now waits for the future to unfold to see where his life takes him, as he is already enrolled in a rather prestigious university.

The German-based eSports league operator 4PlayersLeague is allegedly closing in 2013.
According to reports of the German page TheOrigin.de, 4PlayersLeague will be shutting down operations this year. 4PL is run by the Gaming magazine 4Players, which was bought by the Nuremberg publishing house Computec in 2012 after the bankruptcy of 4Players' previous owner Freenet.
As TheOrigin reports, the 4PL will seize all operations within a period of six months. Reasoning behind shutting down league operations is said to be cost cutting, which is not limited to the 4PL only, but also affects the 4Players gaming editorial staff. Layoffs allegedly have already started.
4Players has been running since 2010, intended to be a multi-game operator for eSports leagues and tournaments. Most prominently 4PL had temporarily run a Starcraft 2 team league, a CS:GO pro league and has held 30 Play4Dota2 cups, most of the time in partnership with Sennheiser, featuring weekly prize...

In this episode of "Grilled, Paul 'sOAZ' Boyer makes some bold claims about Europe and also gives his opinion on other top laners as well as his thoughts on the LCS.
We have the pleasure of learning a little more about the famous and flexible top laner as he describes how the top lane plays out and shows just how confident he is in the top lane. If he wasn't professional, maybe he wouldn't play LoL whatsoever. He also touches up on some stylistic differences of all the regions, having dabbled in experience with all of them.
With a large amount of premiere league being dominated by Korean players, the challenger league has shown some early success for Americans. With Theognis taking out Jaedong 2:0, and Vibe defeating Sage 2:0.
With the premiere league over and a large amount of the American players in it taken out by Koreans, the challenger league has shown so fantastic upsets. Vibe took out Sage, showing some success for Root, since all their players in the Premiere League were knocked down to the Challenger League. An even larger upset was Theognis taking out Jaedong 2:0, which is even more good news for Root players and fans alike. This shows that American players may be down but they are certainly not out of the tournament yet. With two Korean players already eliminated from the challenger league there is only three left, and two of them will be face each other in the bracket six. That match is going to be Taeja vs Heart, Heart was knocked down to the Challenger League by...

As promised in the past, the French Zerg ends his run in StarCraft 2 this summer in order to focus on his studies. He pointed to the 15th of August as a specific date.
The enfant terrible of European StarCraft 2 is still set on quitting the game to turn to studies he mentioned on his stream earlier today, a threat he made numerous times before, but wasn?t taken quite seriously for. Despite his plans to end his career last year already until being turned around by what is estimated to be a very lucrative offer by Team Evil Geniuses, it took until for his fans to realize that Ilyes ?Stephano? Satouri might stay true to his word this time around. He made it known from the start that his main incentive was earning money to finance studies.
Apart from his consistent reign over the Western scene for the past two years, which garnered him victories in IPL, ESWC, NASL and the European WCS...

WePlay Dota 2 Tournament has come to an end, with Alliance crushing EG 3-0. The Alliance players take home the $5000 grand prize, while EG and Na`Vi will settle with $2500 and $1200 respectively.
Alliance continued their outstanding performance, giving absolutely no hope to Evil Geniuses who did not manage to get a win in the best-of-five final of WePlay Dota 2. The Swedes take the $5000 grand prize and look well-prepared for their upcoming trip to China and G-1 play-offs. On the other hand, EG seem to be having trouble adapting to the departure of their captain, Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen, despite reaching the final of this quite demanding tournament. With the conclusion of the final weekend to determine the summer LCS split for both North America and Europe, Dignitas and CLG have secured their place for the next ten weeks.
To start the night off, team Dignitas was faced against his opposing team which featured none other than previously benched player 'LOCUST'. Though the series would start off with Dignitas having an insane comeback towards the opposition, their experience would shine through and Dignitas would pull out on top.
Only one game of the series was taken away from Dignitas by Team Summon before Team Dignitas pulled out a rather decisive victory. The game went as planned, as the popular vote was over 80% in the majority of Team Dignitas.
The more uncertain one of the night, however, was Counter Logic Gaming vs. Azure Cats. With only a 55% to 45% vote in favor of CLG due to their recent...
Norwegian Zerg Jens "Snute" Aasgaard played his first Proleague match today, though it wasn't a particularly successful one. Tossed in the middle of a fight between EG-TL and SPL leaders Woongjin Stars, Snute fell to Free for his team's 1-4 loss.
Leading in with their Zerg line-up wasn't EG-TL's best decision today as it only secured two early kills for Free. The Woongjin Protoss was almost broken by Revival's roach attack but a sturdy defense until a colossus/void ray ball was assembled allowed him to prevail. Void rays made another appearance in the second set of the day against Norwegian Zerg Snute as Free went for a triple stargate into a void ray/zealot/high templar critical hit.
The bad luck of the joint roster did not end there as Free scored yet another kill by blinking through HerO to put the series dangerously close to an all kill. It took Jaedong's hydras to...
